cocktails & canapes food stations
An idea sparked by Cocktails & Canapes to help elevate the catering food scene was brought to life with the services of RS Creative. This isn’t your typical folding table with black linen! With an understanding that the decor of these stations would need to merge with the decor of the event, no matter the occasion, timeless pieces were selected and thoughtfully sourced. These enhanced food stations were designed to be flat-packed and reused so that C&C will never be in attendance without an impactful design experience behind them.
Taco Station: Large scale metal cacti anchored the table accompanied by a macrame screen and tiled tabletop. Guests were encouraged to select from the multiple hot sauces provided - at their own risk. A vibrant glowing neon sign stating “No Siesta Just Fiesta” glowed above the food station.
Poke Station: In collaboration with local artist Alison Kent, custom hand drawn palm leaves brought a funky surfboard menu to life. Chopvalue recycled chopsticks created an accordion screen in a chevron pattern to mask the typical black linen table cloth found in the catering world.
Raclette Station: Copper kitchen utensils and pots and pans created a canopy hanging above the foodstation that rivalled that of a french kitchen. Live edge cutting boards hosted the raclette canapes for guests to grab and go - but not before taking a pic of the cheeky ‘Say Cheese’ sign.
Slider Station: The all Americana station. Beer growlers lined up in different shapes and sizes to create the perfect centre stage for these canapes. Vases mimicking those of bottles were filled with greenery to add the perfect finishing touch.
Donair Station: Inspired by a coastal beach town food, white washed crates stacked to create the essence of a pop-up shack. Patina metals tied in the overall aesthetic.
