LULULEMON FLAGSHIP

An accomplishment of 20 years in the making, lululemon reopened their very first location in the heart of Kitsilano. Opening the doors to their private rooftop patio, a week long celebration took place. This versatile oasis was transformed from dinner party to meditation studio hosting some of Vancouver’s best, as well as individuals from across North America.

Making use of discontinued material typically used for the infamous stretchy pants, an intricate backdrop was created of torn fabric tassels showcasing a sense of movement and flow. The use of textiles in the tassel design connects the space back to the art of making apparel.

Over the course of the week, guests were invited to participate in a visual mapping exercise which proposed such questions as, “What is your practice?” The result - a visual and graphic representation of data which  built on the social atmosphere and helped to bridge connections amongst the unique individuals in attendance.

Hourglasses adorned each table, capturing the essence that “time is precious“- the theme of the event.
